Asberry Acres Permaculture Forest Farm - Fostering Some Orphans

My father-in-law maintains the baseball diamonds for a park near his home. Yesterday while he was mowing he ran over a rabbit's nest in the middle of the diamond. He and my wife took them to the vet who said it was common for mother rabbits to abandon their nests. The vet gave all six bunnies a clean bill of health and my wife brought them home for us to nurse until they're big enough to hop away from danger. Of course, I thought we should keep them long enough for them to be food, but the dirty looks discouraged further talk about that. I mean, they're still so cute!

I'll post a picture later... was too busy fattening them up feeding them to get one earlier.
